About me
I’ve been a keen photographer for many years and as I’m an Ecology graduate most of my personal work focusses on the natural environment. I’m also interested in how photography encourages me to take time to appreciate the beauty in the everyday world.
I work supporting people to protect their local environment and to promote health and wellbeing. I’m keen to bring together both aspects of my life, and support people to use photography to tell their stories.
As part of the Carbon Landscape project, I joined a project with Joe Roper, which produced the book “Looking for Eden”.
Following a short training course in participatory photography with the respected charity PhotoVoice, I earned an MA (with distinction) in Socially Engaged Photography at Salford University with Open Eye Gallery.
During my MA I explored alternative photographic techniques, and worked with gardening charity, Let's Grow Preston. I'm currently working with Open Eye Gallery as photographer in residence at the MerseyCare NHS Life Rooms in Walton. In 2025 I will be running a project with carers in Greater Manchester, funded by a National Lottery Project Grant from the Arts Council England.
